History

LMD Consulting was founded in 2007 to help organizations deal with the "last mile" issues to IT service delivery. As consultants, we have been dealing with these issues far longer. The traditional command-and-control model to get things done by pressing hard from the top has become ineffective because it does not address the issues of people at the ground level.This is especially ineffective in managing outsourced partners that are distributed globally. Overnight as globalization proliferated, the IT managers in the western world became more and more helpless.

We developed a ground-breaking trust-and-control model to address the people side of the issues. We found out that the last miles issues were mainly resource and organization issues where stakeholders did not do what they were supposed to do, how to operate, how to improve, and how to motivate people from various parts of their own organization and their vendors/partners.

At LMD, we solve the "last mile" issues by the following three strategies:

  1. Focus on areas of IT Services at the intersection of client and their external service providers
  2. Leverage top-notch, world-wide consultants with wide ranging experience in information technology advisory and consulting services
  3. Deliver high-value, client-focused services in a federated environment involving stakeholders from the client, the partners, and the vendor organizations

We are experts in getting things done in a trust-and-control model. As a result, we deliver effective services for our clients by using their deployed assets (resources, technologies, infrastructure) and fine-tuning their performance to become an efficient enterprise.

In 2010, LMD Consulting acquired all of the assets of Vantage Technology Partners to provide interactive marketing and technology solutions to the Services and non-profit industries.
